Project development of the alluvial areas on Vasilevsky Island in St. Petersburg, created by Glorax Group, will be presented to the international professional community in the framework of Europe’s largest investment exhibition: MIPIM 2016. The exhibition will be held on March 15-18 in Cannes, France.
The MIPIM exposition will highlight the promising investment projects of each city. Glorax Group, whose project will be part of the St. Petersburg pavilion, is developing 15 hectares of reclaimed land within the borders of the Neva Bay. Construction is scheduled to begin in late 2016. Over the course of 8 years, the project will create residential, commercial and public facilities spanning a total area of 450 thousand square meters.
Exhibitors will examine the architectural and urban development concept, devised by international and Russian offices last year for the International Architectural Competition. The project’s presentation will take place on the first day of the exhibition (March 15) as part of the official business program of the St. Petersburg Government.
On the third day of the MIPIM, Russian and foreign experts, in the framework of the business program, will discuss the role and practice of architectural competitions in urban development. As a defining example, Glorax Group’s project, which was done under the authority of the St. Petersburg Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture, will be presented among the projects for the architectural and urban concept of the alluvial areas. Company Initiative has become a notable event in the city’s urban development sector, attracting the attention of the international and Russian professional community.
