The International Swimming Federation FINA (Federation Internationale de Natation) annually publishes a world ranking of the best swimmers in different swimming styles and age groups. At the end of 2018 at a distance of 50 meters crawl, Andrei Kurnosov, a member of the corporate team of Glorax Life, took the second place in the world ranking. The result of a professional athlete – 23.44 seconds.
FINA is the most authoritative international organization uniting the majority of national swimming federations and determining the development directions of the most popular water sports. The Federation is one of the partners in holding competitions in swimming sports within the Olympic Games. Under the aegis of FINA the World Aquatics Championship and other international competitions are held.
A member of the corporate team of Glorax Life, Andrei Kurnosov regularly takes part in the main stages of the World Championships in water sports in the Masters category. In 2018, in the international arena, the athlete many times became the absolute favorite and repeatedly won the title of European champion. Also Andrei Kurnosov got two records of the Netherlands and the record of Russia.
“Participation in major international competitions is, in itself, exciting for any athlete, at this moment you enter the fight not only with the best swimmers of the world, but also with yourself, trying to demonstrate the maximum of your own abilities. But the victory in such championships and recognition in the international arena give strength to move on and bring new medals to your team,” – commented Andrei Kurnosov.
Now the athlete is actively preparing for the new season – the next international swimming tournament will be held in Austria at the end of March.
