Swimmer of Glorax Life won gold in the International Championship


Gold and two silver medals at the 25th Open Winter Swimming Championships in Spain in the Masters category – the result of swimmer Andrei Kurnosov, a member of the corporate team of Glorax Life (part of Andrei Birzhin’s Glorax Group). Competitions on short water took place in Spain, in the city of Pontevedra.

The championship brought together over 1500 participants from all over the world, except local athletes the competition was attended by swimmers from Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Belgium and other European countries. Andrei Kurnosov was the only athlete representing Russia.

Glorax Life team member won prizes in the following categories:

  • 50 meters, breaststroke – gold. Time – 29.33
  • 50 meters, crawl – silver. Time – 23.22
  • 50 meters, butterfly – silver. Time – 25.58

“The fact that I was the only athlete from Russia imposed additional responsibility – how our country will be represented at this championship depended only on me. The training program has been carefully designed specially to achieve high rates on the championship, and I am glad that I managed to demonstrate my training. Preparations for the next competitions are ahead,”- commented on his results, Andrei Kurnosov.

A professional athlete has been part of the Glorax Life team for two years already and during that time, with the support of the Group and its founder, has won many international awards, set several records in Europe and Russia, and also in the end of 2018 was named the best swimmer in Russia according to the Federation of Swimming “Masters”.
